_Bahai Temple (Lotus Temple) -

     The Lotus Temple, located in New Delhi, India.Popularly known as Lotus Temple, It is Bahá'í house of worship that was dedicated in December 1986. Bahai Temple is the ideal example of modern architecture in India. it looks like flower shape, it has become a prominent attraction in the delhi. The lotus-shaped temple is the holy centre for the Bahai sect and a large number of tourists come to visit it every day. The temple has also been awarded many a time for its architecture and has been featured in several magazines and newspapers and books. The building is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides,having nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 40 metres that is capable of holding up to 2,500 people. The shrine composes of 27 free-standing petal-shaped marbles arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides.

The Lotus temple is situated near Nehru Place and Kalkaji Mandir metro station being just 500 meters away.The temple is in the village of Bahapur in New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi. The architect was an Iranian, Fariborz Sahba who now lives in Canada. A distinction of this monument is, the Temple has received attention in professional architectural, fine art, religious, governmental, and other venue. It is very attractive place for tourism, it had attracted more than 70 million visitors.

  _Golden Temple -


     The Golden Temple at start also  referred informally Sri Harmandir Sahib ("The abode of God"), also known as Darbar Sahib. Golden temple is a Gurdwara located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. From all over world Sikhs come to pay obeisance at Golden Temple and hence this place has a great importance in India’s tourism. It is one of the most revered spiritual sites of Sikhism. The lower level of the temple is adorned with motifs of flowers and animal like that of Taj Mahal and the upper level is gilded with sheets of gold, giving it a look that gives name as Golden temple.


The one more great history of this temple is, in the early nineteenth century, Maharaja Ranjit Singh secured the Punjab region from attack and covered the upper floors of the gurdwara with 750 kilograms of gold. Built by Arjan Sahib with help of Baba Budha Ji. The Temple is described by Ian Kerr, and other scholars, as a mixture of the Indo-Islamic Mughal and the Hindu Rajput architecture. Over 100,000 people visit the shrine daily for worship, and also partake jointly in the free community kitchen and meal. very beautiful temple must visit.

 _Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds) -

     The Hawa Mahal is also called as Palace of Winds or Palace of the Breeze is a prominent landmark is a palace in Jaipur, India. It is constructed of red and pink sandstone. A five-storey pyramidal building, Hawa Mahal stands 15m tall and overlooks the busy streets of the city.The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to offer convenience to women to see the outside world without having to be seen by the other. It was designed by Lal Chand Ustad. Its uniqueness is five-storey exterior is akin to the honeycomb of a beehive with its 953 small windows called jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework.Lal Chand Ustad was the architect of this unique structure. Built in red and pink coloured sand stone. From the top of the palace are the stunning views of Jantar Mantar. this is very popular place for visitors.

  _Charminar -

     The Charminar is located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, constructed in 1591, is a monument and mosque. This 16th century monument in Hyderabad has become a global icon of Hyderabad, listed among the most recognized structures of India Standing tall in the old Hyderabad, Charminar looks absolutely stunning when lit in the evening. There are winding 149 steps that lead to the top of building from where the view is spectacular. The English name is a translation and combination of the Urdu words Chār and Minar or meenar, translating to "Four Pillars". Charminar is gift to the City of Nizams by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah. Historian Masud Hussain Khan says that the construction of Charminar was completed in the year 1592, and that it is the city of Hyderabad which was actually founded in the year 1591.  It is one of the tourist attractions in Hyderabad.

     The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building, which was built between 1906 in KolkataWest BengalIndia. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria and is now a museum and tourist destination under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. Clearly the most famous building in Kolkata, Victoria Memorial is situated on the bank of Hooghly River.The design is in the Indo-Saracenic revivalist style which uses a mixture of British and Mughal elements with Venetian, Egyptian, Deccani and Islamic architectural influences.The building is 338 feet (103 m) by 228 feet (69 m) and rises to a height of 184 feet (56 m). It is constructed of white Makrana marble.It is one of the precious monument in india and visitors like to visit this place.

  _Bara Imambara -

     The Bara Imambara is an imambara complex in Lucknow, India Built by fourth Nawab of Awadh known as Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784, It is also called the Asafi Imambara. Bara Imambara was built as a part of a relief project for a major famine. The Bara Imambara is among the grandest buildings of Lucknow. The Bara Imambara of Lucknow is one of the most famous monuments of this place.. It is an important place of worship for the Muslims who come here every year to celebrate the religious festival of Muharram.The building also includes the large Asfi mosque, the labyrinth, and bowli, a step well with running water. Two imposing gateways lead to the main hall. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only one to come back.

     The Basilica of Bom Jesus, Basilica of Bom Jesus is the most famous structure in Goa, India and it is a World Heritage monument. The church is located in Old Goa. This 17th century Church is the reminiscence of Portuguese era in the country and boasts fine Baroque architecture. The Jesuit church is India’s first minor basilica, and is said to be one of the best examples of baroque architecture in India. This is said to be one of the oldest churches in Goa and the most popular one too. Design of church is very beautiful ,The floor is of marble inlaid with precious stones. Apart from the elaborate gilded altars, the interior of the church is simple.

      The church also holds paintings of scenes taken from the life of St. Francis Xavier. The mausoleum, on the top of which is placed the silver casket with the body of St. Francis Xavier (1696), was the gift of the last of the MedicisCosimo III, the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The Church sees a large number of visitors swarming up when the body of St.Francis Xavier is kept for public viewing once in 10 years.On the upper level, there is the Bom Jesus Basilica Art Gallery, containing the works of the Goan surrealist painter, Dom Martin.

More than 408 years old Basilica of Bom Jesus is open to the public every day. The St. Francis Xavier body is in a well-decorated casket. exhibitions of Solemn the 'body' are held every ten years. Some photos taken inside the church are attached for better understanding of the art work of that time. These art work are called "murals".
